The Tasmania Pantry Cookbook by Eloise Emmett and friends is a collection of Eloise’s recipes plus those from Tasmanian chefs and producers with the state’s renowned produce in the starring role. It includes dishes for weeknight family meals as well as special celebration dishes and everything in between.

Eloise Emmett is an award winning Tasmanian author, publisher, stylist, photographer and former chef/proprietor of the renowned Mussel Boys restaurant on the Tasman Peninsula. This is where the original idea for The Tasmania Pantry came when she realised some of the best local produce – things like octopus, mussels, goat and wallaby – are not commonly used in the home kitchen.

Eloise’s passion is to help people realise that cooking with real food can be easy and enjoyable and it avoids consumption of processed packaged foods which is good for everyone’s health and the planet too.

The recipes provided by chefs and producers share the ways they use their favourite Tasmanian products in their home kitchens. With over 20 years of experience cooking in restaurants and kitchens around the state, Eloise has developed, photographed and styled each recipe to perfection.

STOP PRESS  national awards! The Tasmania Pantry has just won two national awards in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for Best Series and Best Local Cookbook in the World Cuisine section. Eloise says “It’s a satisfying award as this book was produced with recipes from Tasmanian producers who had the opportunity to share their ideas on the best use of their products in the home kitchen. I am extremely excited about the ongoing attention these awards will bring to Tasmania and Tasmanian produce and producers.”
